ROHNERT PARK — Victor Regalado, the California Collegiate Athletic Association Most Valuable Offensive Player of the Year, has been name to the Daktronics Division II All-West Region first team as it was announced on Wednesday.

Regalado, a junior forward from College Place, Wash., led the Warriors to a successful season as Stanislaus went 11-6-2 under first year head coach Dana Taylor.

Regalado set new CSUS CCAA-era single-season records in goals (13) and points (28). He was the conference's leading goal scorer and led all players in points per game (1.75), goals per game (0.81) and game-winning goals (six). In 13 conference matches, Regalado led the CCAA in points (20), goals (9), points per game (1.54) and goals per game (0.69) during conference games only.

Regalado is Cal State Stanislaus' first first team All-Region player since Albert Martins earned the NSCAA All-Far West Region honors in 2005.

Montana State Billings senior forward Sam Charles has been named Player of the Year. Cal State Dominguez Hills had a total of five players earn all-region honors, including two on the first team and three on the second team. Two other CCAA teams -- Sonoma State and Cal State L.A. -- notched four all-region selections; both teams had three first team nods.

Charles, a native of Chiswell, England, broke the Great Northwest Athletic Conference record for most goals scored in a season with 24. He scored a goal in a conference-record nine consecutive matches this season and recorded a point in 15 consecutive matches helping Montana State Billings to a 11-5-2 record, the second best finish in school history. Charles was named GNAC Player of the Year for the second time in his career and was a three-time GNAC first team all-conference selection.

The Daktronics All-Region teams are nominated and selected by the Sports Information Directors in the region.

A complete list of first and second team selections is included below.

Each of the first-team all-region players will now be listed on the Daktronics Division II Men's Soccer All-America ballot.
