LA JOLLA — The day after he received first-team All-Region honors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), Leonard Giammanco can add another award to his resume.

Giammanco, a junior relief pitcher, was named to the NCAA ABCA/Rawlings All West Region team on Friday. The selection was made by vote of the region's head coaches and is presented by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

Giammanco, a right-handed set-up man/closer for the Warriors, led all relievers with a low earned run average of 2.18 during CCAA games. He was also 2-0 with three saves and had 30 strikeouts in 45 1/3 innings. In all games, Giammanco led the Warriors with a 2.05 ERA and would have led the conference but was 2/3 of an inning shy of qualifying.

Giammanco has now been named to the CCAA All-Conference First Team, NCBWA All-Region First Team and now the ABCA All-Region Second Team.
