Protecting the Health and Safety of all student-athletes at California State University Stanislaus is a number one priority. Student-athletes at Cal State Stanislaus receive the finest treatment before and after athletic related injuries.
To prevent injury and to enhance athletic performance, Matt Fraze, an NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist works with all coaches and student-athletes on a year round strength and conditioning program. Fraze is also an instructor in the Department of Physical Education and Health and is the Warrior Fitness Center Director.
Fraze develops and implements programs for student-athletes designed to improve speed, strength, flexibility and power. He creates training programs designed to improve the student-athlete as a whole. As a power lifter, Fraze believes in working and sweating as a team in the weight room. His training sessions prevent injury, improve student-athlete performance and serve as a team bonding activity designed to enhance team chemistry.
Fraze earned his B.S degree in physical education from Cal State Stanislaus and a M.S. degree in strength and condition from CSU Sacramento, where he served as graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Hornets athletics department.
Fraze and his wife Cindy reside in Turlock and are the proud parents of three daughters, Jessica, Carolyn, and Samantha.
