A true “Scholar Athlete” with impeccable ability, leadership, and drive to win,  Danny was a Division III First Team All American, 1976 World Series Most Valuable Playe,r and All Conference Player.  Danny was awarded the CSUS Academic Athlete of the Year and an NCAA Post Collegiate Academic Scholarship.  A heavy hitting first baseman, he was a team co-captain for the 1976 and 1977 baseball seasons, helping the team to two National Championships.
