George White made history in his one season as a Warrior in 1968-69. He nailed jumpers from long distances and only received credit for two points each time (prior to the three-point line rule). Still, he amassed a record 805 points in a season.
White holds six Stanislaus State scoring records including scoring average, points, free throws made, and free throws attempted in a season, plus points and field goals in a game.
He scored 53 points in a Nov. 28, 1968 game against Valley State (now Cal State Northridge) when he made a record 17 shots. He averaged 32.2 points per game that season and was 231 for 274 on the free throw line — all Stanislaus team records.
