Kim Duyst served as the Men’s & Women’s Cross Country and track & Field coach for 21 years. During this time, she led over 60 All American Athletes and earned nine Individual National Champion performances. Under the leadership of Coach Duyst, the team ranked in the top 20 teams in Cross Country and Track & Field. Her women’s 2003 XC team qualified for the national championships, and in 1994 Duyst led the Warriors men’s team to a fourth place finish at the NCAA Track & Field Championships, as well as a men’s Conference Championship title.
Duyst was incredibly active off the field as well. She served as a member of the NCAA Track & Field Rules Committee from 1999-2003 and the Division II Coaches Association President as well as the Vice-President for the US Track Coaches Association from 1992 through 1994. She was part of the USA coaching Staff for the 1998 World XC Championships in Morocco, the 2001 World Track & Field Championships in Edmonton, and the 2003 World Track & Field Championships in Paris. She has earned several awards including; 1989 Conference Co-Coach of the year, 1991 Conference Cross Country Coach of the year, 2003 NCAA Women’s Indoor Regional Coach of the year, and 2004 NCAA Men’s & Women’s Indoor Regional Coach of the year.
