Marc Lawless was the top player on the Stanislaus men’s golf team from 1999 to 2002 as he carried on the winning tradition of the program.
Lawless was a two-time All-American while leading the Warriors to a conference championship (2001) and two top three finishes at the NCAA Championships. Stanislaus finished second, by one stroke, in 2002 and was third in 2001.
Individually, Lawless was a 2001 National Championship runner-up after being edged in a playoff hole. He finished second at regionals and won a CCAA championship that season. In 2002, Lawless finished 10th at the NCAA tournament, won a West Region title, and was sixth at the CCAA Championships.
