Warriors 13th after two rounds at CSUN tournament

SIMI VALLEY — Teddy Schrier and Trevor Blair both started the day with two-under 70s on Monday and after two rounds of play, the Cal State Stanislaus men's golf team is in 13th place at the Bill Cullum Invitational.

The tournament, at Simi Valley's Wood Ranch Golf Course, features 13 Division I teams, Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State Stanislaus and Cal State San Marcos and is hosted by Cal State Northridge.

Schrier finished the day with a 145 total after shooting a 75 in the afternoon. Blair carded an 81 for a 151. Schrier is in 22nd and Blair 46th.

The Warriors trails leader University of the Pacific, which tallied a 560. UOP's Alex Johnson shot 66-68 for an 10-under 134  first day total. Host CSUN is in second, followed by UC Santa Barbara.

Cal State San Bernardino, the only other Division II program in the tournament, is in eighth with a 593. CSUSB is led by Gene Webster's 70-73-143.

The tournament concludes on Tuesday with the final round. It is also Stanislaus' final outing during the fall season.
