INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA released its latest set of Division II men's soccer Super Region 4 rankings on Wednesday (Nov. 12), with Stanislaus State continuing to lead the region heading into postseason play.
Stanislaus State (14-1-1) earned the No. 2 seed in this week's CCAA Championship Tournament and will face No. 6 Cal State East Bay in Friday's semifinal at 10:30 a.m. at Cal State Monterey Bay's Cardinale Stadium, live on FloCollege. With a win, the Warriors would advance to Sunday's 11:30 a.m. championship final as they pursue the program's first-ever CCAA Tournament title. The winner of the CCAA Tournament will receive the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship.
This week's Super Region 4 rankings feature:
- Stanislaus State (14-1-1)
- Cal State Dominguez Hills (11-2-4)
- Point Loma (11-3-1)
- Cal State LA (8-3-5)
- Seattle Pacific (10-3-4)
- Midwestern State (11-3-4)
- Cal State San Bernardino (8-3-6)
- Hawai'i Hilo (8-4-2)
- Western Washington (7-6-3)
- MSU Denver (8-4-5)
- Regis (Colo.) (7-5-4)
- CSU Pueblo (8-2-7)
Super Region 4 includes programs from the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), Lone Star Conference (LSC), Pacific West Conference (PacWest), and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC). Tournament champions from those conferences will earn automatic bids to the NCAA tournament, while the top 10 teams in Super Region 4 will round out the postseason field.
The Warriors remain one of Division II's most complete teams, featuring one of the nation's top defenses and most efficient scoring attacks. Offensively,
Gerardo Flores (9 goals, 6 assists) and
Emmanuel Duran (8 goals, 3 assists) headline a potent group alongside
Sebastian Carbajal (5 goals),
Adrian Yepez (6 assists), and
Samuel Villanueva, who leads the CCAA with 10 assists. Defensively, the veteran back line of Villanueva,
Christian Brenes,
Ian Reis,
Federico Barbieri,
David Lozano, and
Ryan Rosas has helped limit opponents to just nine goals all season, while goalkeeper
Angel Ruiz-Hernandez ranks among the national leaders with a 0.56 goals-against average, .857 save percentage, and nine shutouts.
Stanislaus State's 2025 season has already been one for the record books. The Warriors set a school record with a 14-match unbeaten streak earlier this fall and enter the postseason one win shy of matching the program record for victories in a season (15), set in 2015.
The NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship Selection Show is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. ET on NCAA.com.
