Warrior Athletics fans interested in receive text message (SMS) alerts with final scores and breaking news can do so by texting Follow StanStateScores to 40404. Please note that message and data rates may apply.  This new text messaging (SMS) alert system is made possible by Twitter, and replaces the previous text message (SMS) alert system we have used in the past.

PLEASE NOTE:  Users who were already receiving text message (SMS) alerts from warriorathletics.com must sign up for the feature again, but by texting Follow StanStateScores to 40404.  The previous text alert system has been discontinued by our website provider due to rules and regulations set forth by the FCC.

You do not need to have a Twitter account to receive the new SMS alerts, but if you do and you have associated your mobile phone number with your Twitter account, you can retweet our most recent Tweet to your followers by sending RT StanStateScores to 40404, or you can favorite our most recent Tweet by sending Fave StanStateScores or *StanStateScores to 40404.

Frequently Asked Questions About SMS Alerts via Twitter

How does it work?
Short Message Service (SMS), or text messages, are sent from Twitter right to your phone with final scores or breaking news from all 14 sports at Stanislaus State. All you have to do is text Follow StanStateScores to 40404 straight from your mobile phone.

Do I need to have a Twitter account to sign up?
No. Anyone with a U.S.-based wireless carrier and/or Google Voice numbers with text messaging capabilities can sign up for the text alerts.

What is the confirmation process?
Once you text Follow StanStateScores to 40404, you will receive an automated text message that says "You're now following @StanStateScores. Their tweets will be sent to you."  That's it!

Are there any fees for this service?
Signing up for the service is free, however standard text messages rates may apply, depending on your wireless carrier and service plan.

How many texts will I receive?
Alerts are generally sent out at the conclusion of athletics contests, or in the event of other notable Warrior Athletics news.

Can I choose to receive texts from specific sports only?
Unfortunately, no.  However, if you are more interested in receiving alerts from a specific sport that competes in a specific season (i.e. Fall), you can opt to start receiving the text alerts at the beginning of the Fall season by texting Follow StanStateScores to 40404, then cancel the service at the end of the Fall season, just by sending Off StanStateScores to 40404. Be advised that you will also receive the final scores from other sports going on in the same season.  You can turn the service on or off as many times as you wish.

How do I cancel the text message alerts?
At any time if you would like to cancel the text message alerts, just text Follow StanStateScores to 40404.  If at anytime you would like to reinstate the service, send Follow StanStateScores to 40404, just as you did to sign up for the service initially.

How quickly are the updates sent after each contest?
You will receive alerts as soon as possible following an event.
