FRESNO — Rain on Saturday suspended and altered the Bulldog Classic at Fresno State. The Warriors dropped three matches to strong Division I oppoents when play resumed on Sunday.
With the cancelation of play on Saturday, coupled with some injuries and teams unable to return for the full slate of matches on Sunday, the host staff at Fresno State and tournament officials made scheduled and match-up changes heading into Sunday's action.
In the end, sophomore
Analyssa Tallas, who won her first round contest against Anna Klavins of Cal Poly advanced to the quarterfinals of Flight C. Versus Oregon's Allie Hueffner, Tallas put-up a great fight and rallied before a 6-3, 6-2 loss.
In the other results,
Jessica Stokes played twice and was blanked by Oregon's Alyssa Tobita and Regina Suarez.
The Warriors' fall season concluded with this event and they will get back to dual-play action on Feb. 7, at home, against Holy Names to open the spring schedule.
