NEWPORT BEACH — Cassidy Ferrell was named the Pacific West Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Tuesday for her performances this past week.

Ferrell went a combined 3-1 in two matches over the weekend.  She won both of her singles matches, including a No. 2 singles win over Sonoma State's Jenna DeTurk (6-3, 6-3) on Saturday and a 6-0, 6-1 win against UC Santa Cruz's Ashley Brudzinski on Sunday.

Against UC Santa Cruz, she paired with Jaella Conway for an 8-0 No. 1 doubles win at No. 1.
