Stanislaus State junior forward Aliah Avila delivered a standout offensive weekend, leading the Warriors to back-to-back shutout wins over Cal State Dominguez Hills and San Francisco State. Avila scored two goals and added two assists across the two matches, directly contributing to four of Stan State’s seven goals on the weekend. She netted a penalty kick goal and the game-winner in Friday’s 5–0 victory in Carson, then assisted on both goals in Sunday’s 2–0 home win over the Gators. Avila has now scored in three consecutive matches and in four of the last five contests, with four game-winning goals this season. Her 11 career game-winners tie her for third on Stanislaus State’s all-time list. The performance boosted Avila into a tie for the team lead in points with 13 (4 goals, 5 assists) on the season, ranking her among the top offensive producers in the CCAA while helping the Warriors extend their unbeaten streak to four matches and climb to fourth place in the CCAA standings as they look to secure their fourth consecutive conference postseason berth.
