Alexis Niño delivered a historic weekend for Stanislaus State women’s indoor track & field at the Wolf Pack Classic, turning in elite-level performances in the throwing events and rewriting the program record book. On Saturday, Niño shattered her own school record in the shot put with a massive throw of 49-8½ (15.15m), earning a first-place finish while breaking the previous mark by nearly a full meter. The performance currently ranks 10th in the nation, provisionally qualifying her for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, and stands as the best shot put throw in Stan State history. Earlier in the meet, Niño also led the Warriors in the 20-lb weight throw with a mark of 55-2¾ (16.85m), showcasing her consistency and dominance across multiple events. Her record-breaking weekend highlighted a strong overall showing for the Warriors and positioned her as one of the top throwers in NCAA Division II as the postseason approaches.
