Phillips delivered a career performance in the shot put at the Mark Conover Classic in San Luis Obispo, recording a mark of 53-6.5 (16.32m) to move into No. 8 all-time in Stan State history. His mark stands as one of the top performances in the conference this season and highlights his continued rise among the program’s top throwers, while he also recorded marks in the discus (139-4 / 42.48m) and hammer (157-8 / 48.06m) at the meet.
