Evan Fanconi delivered a composed outing in his first start as a Warrior, improving to 3-0 on the season in Stan State’s 5-2 series-opening win over Chico State. The right-hander tossed 6.0 innings, allowing just one run on seven hits while striking out one and not issuing a walk. Fanconi stayed in command throughout his 90-pitch performance, keeping Chico State’s offense in check and setting the tone for the Warriors in the opener.
