Montgomery led Stan State to the team championship at the RCA Electric Invitational while capturing individual medalist honors at Pasadera in Monterey.

The sophomore from Beaumont, Calif., finished the three-round tournament at 4-under-par 206 after rounds of 67-69-70. Montgomery recorded 14 birdies and won medalist honors by two strokes.

His 206 tied for the fourth-lowest three-round tournament score in Stan State history, matching Jason McHague's performance at the 2006 GCU Fall Invitational and Ash Patel's score at the 2017 NCAA West Regional.

Montgomery's performance helped the Warriors capture the team championship with an 857 team score, finishing six strokes ahead of Menlo.

For his performance, Montgomery was named the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week, becoming the first Stan State men's golfer to earn the conference weekly honor since Jack Peters and Chris Chomyn shared the recognition in February 2025.
