For the second straight week, Gary shine at the home meet at the Al Brenda Track by improving on his provisional qualifying marks in both discus and hammer throw. In discus, he missed a school record by less than an inch with a 167-4. In the hammer, he won with a toss of 198-4. He was also second in the shotput (53-6 1/2)
