Aaron Godinez has been nearly un-hittable coming out of the Warriors bullpen as he's the huge reason for the Warriors' recent 11-3 run. This weekend against Cal State L.A., the work-horse and go-to-man, appeared in three games and earned two wins in relief as the Warriors took 3 of 4 from then-first place Cal State L.A.
Godinez threw a total of 4 2/3 innings and gave up just a hit while striking out four. The Golden Eagles, which had entered the week as the CCAA's top offense, batted .071 against him. He did walk two with one of them an unintentional intentional walk.
During the last 14 games with the Warriors going 11-3, Godinez is 3-0 with three saves. He posted a 0.55 ERA and allowed just one run in 16 1/3 innings. Opponents batted just .154 against him.
