Marcus displayed his leadership with his bats and handling of the pitching staff as he led the Warriors to a 3-1 series win over Cal State L.A., extending the Warriors current hot streak as they have won 11 of the last 13 games.

Against Cal State L.A., Mastrobuoni batted .462, going 6 for 13 with two doubles and scored three times. He posted a .615 slugging percentage and a .563 on-base percentage as he was also walked three times. Even with the slugging power, he also laid down sac bunts twice to help the team manufacture runs.

As the starting catcher in three games, he handled the young pitching staff to great success with four solid outings by four starters -- all of them underclassmen. He also played flawless defense and allowed just two stolen bases.
