Abraham regained the national lead in the 800m with another outstanding performance, this time with a career best time of 1:47.23 at the 37th Annual Sun Angel Classic at Arizona State on Saturday. Alvarado, who entered the week at No. 2, surpassed St. Augustine's Shaquille Dill for the top spot.

Alvarado also took part in the men's 4x400-meter relay team on Saturday, helping the team to win its heat (and fifth overall) in 3:16.18.
