Krystal broke an 11-year Stanislaus State record by setting a huge personal best in the women's hammer throw at the Long Beach Invitational on Friday, as part of a busy, three-meet weekend in Southern California.

Alnas threw 195-foot-even for a new NCAA Automatic Qualifying mark, ranking her fifth on the Division II list.

She broke the 11-year old record, set back in 2005 by Christine Benson (190-2). Alnas' previous PR was 188-3, set at the beginning of this season, on April 4 at the Kim Duyst invitational.
