In two appearances this week, Matt had two six-out saves after facing just 13 total batters with nine strikeouts. He allowed just one hit (a non-error misplayed by an outfielder) in these four innings He broke the Stan State record for consecutively scoreless innings pitched on Thursday and has since extended the streak to 30 2/3 innings, and counting. During this stretch, he allowed just a total of three hits with 51 strikeouts. He was 7 for 7 in save opportunities and lowered his ERA from 15.19 to 2.25.
