Stanislaus State Athletics

Warrior cross country and track and field distance runner Najwa Chouati was selected as the Department's Female Athlete of the Year.  Chouati finished seventh at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships in the 3000-meter run to earn All-American honors.  She was the CCAA Newcomer of the Year in women's cross country this fall and Newcomer of the Meet this spring in women's track and field.  The junior transfer broke three school records this season.  She finished ranked fifth in the nation in the 10,000-meter run and 13^th in the nation in the 5,000-mter run.
