Stanislaus State Athletics

The Will Keener Sportsmanship Award which is presented to a student-athlete who always demonstrated honesty and sportsmanship and represented him or herself, his or her team and Warrior Athletics with honor and dignity of fairy play. 
 
In 2006, the Sportsmanship Award was established in honor of the late Will Keener, who spent more than thirty years at Stan State as the Public Relations Director and Sports Information Diredctor.  A pioneer for the position not only here on campus, but also in the profession.  He was awarded the College Sports Information Directors Lifetime Achievement Award in 2003.  This year's Will Keener Sportsmanship Award went to Ellison Weaver (volleyball) and Noah Chelberg (baseball).
