Warrior softball player Mikaela Ferreira and men's golfer Chris Chomyn are this year's Stan State Female and Male Athletes of the Year.

Ferreira was named to the NFCA All-West Region First Team to go with her First Team All-CCAA honor this season.  The two-time CCAA Player of the Week recipient was named to the D2CCA All-West Region Second Team.  She led the CCAA with her .455 batting average, 31 walks, 16 doubles and .560 on-base percentage.  The senior shortstop was named to the Tournament of Champions All-Tournament Team.

Chomyn was a NCAA Division II PING All-West Region First Team as named by the Golf Coaches Athletic Association (GCAA).  Last week, Chomyn finished in a tie for tenth place at the NCAA Division II South Central/West Super Regional Championships.  For the second time in his career, Chomyn was named to the CCAA Men's Golf Championships All-Tournament Team.  He is currently second in the West Region and was named to the All-CCAA First Team.
