The 2024 CCAA Midfielder of the Year had an impactful opening weekend, contributing assists on both of the Warriors’ goals. She began by setting up Grace Fabionar’s game-winning goal in the 55th minute of Stan State’s 1-0 victory over Saint Martin’s in their regular season home opener. Avila then assisted on Haylee Sousa’s goal in the 59th minute of a hard-fought 2-1 loss to Simon Fraser, which, at the time, tied the match.
