Bianca Duran stepped right into collegiate coaching when she was named the Warriors' assistant softball coach during the summer of 2015. Duran was a recent graduate of Louisiana Tech University when she was tabbed by softball head coach Jessica Ventoza as her assistant.

Duran was a NFCA First Team All-Mideast Region selection at Louisiana Tech University after earning Conference USA All-Tournament team honors as a pitcher and infielder.

Ventoza said Duran would primarily be working with pitchers as well as assisting with other coaching duties.

During the 2015 season at Louisiana Tech, Duran batted .359 with 11 doubles, nine home runs and drove in 38 runs. She also posted a 2.78 ERA in 163-plus innings of action.

Prior to her time at Louisiana Tech, Duran attended Western Nebraska Community College where she was a 2012 Freshman Player of the Year, Region 9 All Region First Team Pitcher, and led the Cougars to a Region 9 Regular Season and Tournament Championship. Then in 2013 she was named Region 9 Pitcher and Player of the Year when she led NJCAA D1 in wins. Duran currently holds seven WNCC school records, including career home runs (40), single season home runs (23), single season doubles (29), career wins and single season wins (36).

Duran also has coaching experience at the youth level near her hometown of Westminster, Colo.
As a high school standout, she was a four-time all-conference player and team MVP at Standley Lake High School. She was a regional player of the year and named to the All-State team as a senior after batting .495 with a 1.02 ERA. Duran also lettered in basketball for two seasons.
Duran obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Louisiana Tech University this past May.
