Record at Stan State (through 2021 season):

Career College Coaching Record: Same

Turlock native and former collegiate volleyball standout Maci Murdock was named the interim head coach for the Stanislaus State women’s volleyball program on Aug. 31, 2021, in her first season with the program after being hired in the summer as an assistant coach.

Murdock is no stranger to Turlock and the Warriors family. She played her prep volleyball at Pitman High School, less than two miles down the road from the Stanislaus campus. There, she was a second team All-American and a national scholar-athlete. She also served the Stanislaus State volleyball program in 2015 as a volunteer assistant during former head coach Mallori Gibson-Rossi’s first season.

Murdock stayed in the Central Valley to play her college volleyball, attending Fresno State from 2011-14. She was a two-time all-conference honoree and a two-time scholar-athlete award winner for the Bulldogs. Her name is still among Fresno State’s career top-five records in hitting percentage and block assists, as well as freshmen records lists for hitting percentage, total blocks and block assists. She continued building her coaching career with three years as the head coach of the Modesto Christian varsity girls volleyball team from 2016-19.
