CHICO --- The Warriors women's soccer team will now need the help of other teams in the conference to earn a berth for the CCAA Championships. Chico State rallied from a 1-0 deficit to beat Cal State Stanislaus 2-1 Saturday night in Chico.
With the regular season finale loss, the Warriors are 7-5-2 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association with 23 points. With Chico State and UC San Diego already in the tournament, the Warriors will need Cal State L.A. to loose its final two matches to earn the fourth and final spot in next week's tournament. Cal State Dominguez Hills has also qualified for the tournament with 24 points.

Melissa Phillips, who gave the Warriors a 1-0 lead in the first half. Chico State, however rallied to even the score with about a minute and a half left to go in the half.
"We played really well in the first half. Had a lot of confidence and created a lot of scoring chances," CSUS head coach Gabe Bolton said.
Cal State L.A. plays Cal State Monterey Bay on Sunday and will make up its contest against Cal State San Bernardino on Monday.
