Otters spike Warriors in four games

SEASIDE --- The Warriors took game one but could not hold off the Otters as host Cal State Monterey Bay defeated Cal State Stanislaus in four games, 29-31, 30-20, 30-26, 30-18, in volleyball Friday night.

Karly Van Foeken led the Warriors with 12 kills on 29 attempts with two aces to lead the Warriors as they dropped to 6-21 overall adn 3-12 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. CSUS heads north to Rohnert Park to take on Sonoma State at 7 p.m. Saturday night

Debbie Vander Schaaf had nine kills and seven digs while Jen Gee continues to improve as a freshman with seven kills and five digs.  Freshman libero Megan Britton added 26 digs.

Brittany Etchings led the way for CSUMB with 17 kills, three aces and 19 digs. Kiley Stout and Courtney Taubert each chipped in11 kills for the 10-17 (6-8 CCAA) Otters.
