ROHNERT PARK --- The Warriors were so close to a second victory over Sonoma State, but they couldn't close it out in the third game as Sonoma State rallied from behind to beat Cal State Stanislaus in five Saturday night.

Cal State Stanislaus (6-22, 2-14 CCAA) had a 2-0 lead before dropping a thrilling CCAA volleyball match 32-34, 27-30, 35-33, 30-18, 15-9 to the Seawolves (13-12, 9-7 CCAA)

After a hot start, Warrior senior Debbie Vander Schaaf was slowed down in the fourth and fifth games.  She still finished the night with a game-high 24 kills and 11 digs.  Nicole Musso was also in double digits with 13 kills.  Megan Britton had 24 kills and the duo of Colleen Sullivan and Nicki Brown (sister of SSU's Lindsay Brown) combined for 49 assists.

Cal State Stanislaus looked great through the first two games, taking 34-32 and 30-27 wins.  They went on to serve match point in the third game before the Seawolves pulled out an exciting 35-33 win.  With that third game win, the Seawolves captured all the momentum, rolling to 30-18 and 15-9 wins in games four and five.

The Seawolves got 22 kills from Kristy Sather.  It was her fourth consecutive game with at least 20 kills.  Rikki Buckshnis found her groove late in the match, finishing with 11 kills and a .500 hitting percentage.  Marianne Fox and Kaylee Aizenstadt also made contributions on offense with 14 and 13 kills respectively.

Lindsay Brown was solid again at setter, finishing with 54 assists.  Taylor Manton picked up 33 more digs and both Aizenstadt and Buckshnis were a part of six blocks.

Sonoma State also beat Chico State in three Friday night.
