TURLOCK --- The Warriors hung around and stayed close against Cal State San Bernardino, but the fourth ranked Coyotes did just enough to beat Cal State Stanislaus in straight sets in a CCAA match Friday afternoon.

Jesssica Granados had 19 kills and hit .351 to lead CCAA Champion CSUSB over the Warriors, 30-27, 30-25, 30-23, to improve to 24-2 overall and 16-1 in league play. The Warriors are 6-23 and 2-15 in the CCAA.

Debbie Vander Schaaf, who became just the sixth Warrior to record 300 kills ore more in a season last week, led CSUS with eight kills. Nicole Musso had six kill while Liz Cameron and Jen Gee each chipped in four.

Ashtin Hall had nine kills and setter Sara Hoffman had 41 assists to pace the Coyotes.

While the Warriors only led briefly in the third game, they stayed close and competed from the start to finish. CSUS got within a point at 27-26 late in the first game before CSUSB rallied for the win. The Warriors led 8-7 in game three after a Cameron kill.

The Warriors will close out the 2007 season Saturday night against Cal Poly Pomona. It will be senior night to recognize six Warrior seniors. First serve is at 7 p.m.
