SEATTLE --- For the second time in as many games, the Warriors faced one of the region's best teams but came up with the same result as the Cal State Stanislaus women's soccer team dropped to No. 10 Seattle Pacific, 7-1.
Meredith Teague scored twice and assisted on three plays for seven points for Seattle Pacific University.
The victory pushed Seattle Pacific to a perfect 4-0-0, while the Warriors dropped to 2-2-0.
Both teams scored on their first shots of the game. Sarah Martinez (Sr., Bothell, Wa./Cedar Park Christian) one-touched an eight yard attempt to near post with Teague's (Jr., Redmond, Wa./Bellevue Christian) assistance from the left side, just 2:41 in. Kayla Stiegemeier (So., Rathdrum, Id./Lakeland) was also credited on the play.
Martinez struck again three minutes later when Teague and Shannon Oakes (Jr., boise, Id./Boise) teamed up to launch a short cross across the goalmouth from the right (5:47).
At 17:57, Adrienne Sorensen pulled Stanislaus back a goal with a 12 yard blast into the far corner. Falcon keeper Jesslyn Rahm (So., Eugene, Or./South Eugene) lunged to her right but could not get a hand on the ball.
