SEASIDE — Lianne Vicchio finished her freshman season on a high with 14 kills and 12 digs, but it wasn't enough as the Warriors dropped a hard-fought match at Cal State Monterey Bay Saturday night.

The Otters, led by four players with double-digits in kills, defeated Cal State Stanislaus, 25-14, 25-21, 20-25 and 25-23 to improve to 8-23 overall and 4-15 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The Warriors completed the 2008 season 6-24 overall and 3-17 in conference play.

Vicchio had another double-double Saturday night and finished her sensational freshman season with 310 kills and 300 digs. Vicchio was 14-for-37 with three errors against CSUMB for an nice attacking percentage of .297.

Senior Megan Loghry ends her career with another strong effort, putting away 12 kills on 23 attempts without an error (.522). Loghry also had five total blocks and three service aces. Angela Ohland, another freshman had nine kills and four blocks. Megan Britton and Amanda Pielstick each had 11 digs. Colleen Sullivan had 42 assists and seven digs.

Cal State Monterey Bay was led by Kerri Sudarsana with 13 kills, Rheann Fall had 12 and Elizabeth Hanna chipped 11. Rayna Richardson added 10 kills for the Otters.
