Coyotes rally late to beat Warriors 4-3

TURLOCK -- The Cal State Stanislaus men's soccer team put up three goals, but could not hold on as the visiting Coyotes of Cal State San Bernardino scored twice late for the win on Friday.
 
Albert Cabrera scored once and assisted on two goals as CSUSB defeated Stanislaus 4-3 to improve to 2-3-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. The Warriors have dropped three straight and are now 1-3-1 overall and 0-2-0 in conference play.
 
Early goals by Bladimir Murillo and Andrew Ruiz gave Cal State Stanislaus a 2-0 lead half-hour into the match, but Carbrera scored his goal in the 31st minute to make the score 2-1.
 
Murillo got the Warriors on the board first when he picked up a rebound from Matthew Johnson' shot Johnson's shot went off the left post and went directly to Murillo for the finish.
 
Ruiz got his goal on a nice give-and-go working with teammate Oscar Ramirez.
 
After Obi Agwu tied the score in the 71st minute for CSUSB, Warrior senior Matthew Johnson gave Stanislaus a 3-2 lead less than a minute later. Johnson, who now has scored in four consecutive matches, out dribble three defenders on a ball from Sergio Sousa for the go-ahead score.
 
The Coyotes, however, got goals from Harry Cruz (76:01) and Miguel Alatorre (81:03) to escape with the win.
 
Cal State Stanislaus continues its homestand on Sunday with a 11:30 a.m. match against Cal Poly Pomona.
