CARSON -- The Cal State Stanislaus volleyball team picked up their first CCAA win Saturday as they defeated the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros 3 sets to 1 in Carson. With the win the Warriors improve to 4-12 (1-5 CCAA), while the Toros fall to 1-13 (0-6 CCAA).
The Warriors took the first set 25-16, then dropped the second set 19-25. However, the Warriors would bounce back and win the third and fourth sets, 26-24 and 25-19.
Angela Ohland had a big night for the Warriors notching 12 kills and six assists. Sophomore
Jen Gee added 13 kills. Libero
Megan Britton had 22 digs for the Warrios and
Amanda Pielstick added 17 digs. Setter
Colleen Sullivan had 37 assists.
The Warriors will travel to Chico State University on October 1st, before returning home October 4th to take on UC San Diego.
