TURLOCK — The Cal State Stanislaus Warriors started off slow against visiting Notre Dame de Namur, but came back strong and defeated the Argonauts in a non-conference match, 16-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-17, Tuesday night.

Lianne Vicchio led the Warriors with 14 kills and also tallied four service aces.  Janay Bankston and Jennifer Marsh each had seven kills as the Warriors even up their record to 6-6 overall.

Also contributing to the Warriors win was Jessica Lehner with 30 assists and Amanda Pielstick leading the team with 14 digs.

Notre Dame de Namur was led by Christin Villamayor with 13 kills and 10 digs.  Ashley Fox had eight kills and Shorol Mae Kahawaii leg the Argonauts with 18 digs.

The Warriors will resume conference play on Friday when they travel to take on the Cal State East Bay. The Pioneers are currently 2-11 overall and 0-5 in the CCAA.  The Warriors are 0-4 in the CCAA.
