HAYWARD -- In its first match against the new kids on the block, the Cal State Stanislaus volleyball team was not able to come up with its first conference win.
Roxanne Neely had 10 kills to lead Cal State East Bay as the Pioneers spiked the Warriors in straight sets, 25-16, 25-20, 25-21, Friday night.
Melissa Bishop had six kills while
Lianne Vicchio and
Taylor Dawson each had four to pace the Warriors.
Amanda Pielstick picked up 13 digs and
Megan Britton had 11.
Kitona Offord and Sukhjit Athwal each had nine kills to help Cal State East Bay improve to 3-11 overall and its first California Collegiate Athletic Association win in six tries.
The Warriors dropped to 6-7 and 0-5 in the CCAA and will fly to San Diego to take on UC San Diego in La Jolla Saturday night.
