TURLOCK - The Cal State Stanislaus men's soccer team suffered a scoreless 90 minutes of play Sunday afternoon in 0-1 loss to Cal State Dominguez Hills in a California Collegiate Athletic Association match.

This is only the second loss for the Warriors this season bringing their overall record to 6-2-2 and CCAA record to 5-2-1.  The Toros are now 6-2-1, 5-2-1 in conference play.

The Warriors were down early in the first half as Cal State Dominguez Hills scored within the first five minutes of play.  Cal State Stanislaus had little scoring opportunities in the first half due to a strong Toros defense.

In the second half the Warriors came out stronger almost tripling their shots.  Jio Santana and Victor Regalado each had 3 shots, both with a scoring opportunity, but were unsuccessful due to saves by Toros keeper, Eric Davis.

Momentum was something that was hard to obtain by both teams, with a tally of 43 total fouls and 6 yellowcards issued.

Javier Rosales was strong in goal for the Warriors totaling 6 saves on the day.

Miguel Vargas scored the only goal for the Toros, his second goal on the season.

The Warriors will be on the road for their next two matches.  They will be at Humboldt Friday with a 4:30 p.m. start and at Sonoma State Sunday with a 11:30 a.m. start.
