SEASIDE — Reann Fall and Melanie Lashbrook led Cal State Monterey Bay over Cal State Stanislaus in women's volleyball action Friday night at the Kelp Bed.
Cal State Stanislaus was led by
Lianne Vicchio, who had eight kills, but lost its sixth straight match in the 25-12, 25-13, 25-16 decision. The Warriors fall to 9-14 overall and 5-14 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
Jacqueline Moore-DesLauriers and
Andrea Fett each had five kills to pace the Warriors.
Jaclyn Pinasco led the team with 11 digs. Moore-DesLauriers also had three blocks.
Offensively, however, the Warriors couldn't get into a flow as they finished hitting just .063 on the attack (26 for 111 with 19 errors). Moore-DesLauriers was the bright spot as the freshman was 5-for-8 without an error.
Fall led the Otters (9-13, 6-13 CCAA) with 13 kills and Lashbrook added 11. Diona Lucas had 15 digs for CSUMB and Fall picked up 11.
Cal State Stanislaus will have its final road contest on Saturday at Cal State East Bay before finishing the season at home next weekend.
