HAYWARD — Rebounding from Friday night's lost at Cal State Monterey Bay, the Warriors volleyball team put up a great fight before falling to Cal State East Bay in four, 25-21, 23-25, 25-19, 25-18, on Saturday.

Jaclyn Pinasco had 23 digs but these performances were quite enough to help the Warriors as they fell to 9-15 overall and 5-15 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
The Warriors have now dropped seven straight matches but will have a chance to finish the season at home on a high note as they host Cal State L.A. (13-12, 10-10 CCAA) and Cal State Dominguez Hills (1-23, 0-20 CCAA).

Cal State East Bay turned in a 2-0 weekend after upsetting Chico State on Friday. The Pioneers improved to 16-9 overall and 11-9 in the CCAA. CSUEB was led by Morgan Hirzel and Nikki Long each with 11 kills. Leslie Ray had 30 digs and Nicole Boyle 22.
