Box Score ROHNERT PARK —
Theresa Henderson, the conference's leading scorer, added 21 more points to her tally, but it wasn't enough as the Warriors dropped a game to Sonoma State, 75-55.
Henderson shot 7 for 18 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds but Cal State Stanislaus fell to 3-5 overall and 0-4 in California Collegiate Athletic Association play.
Henderson now leads the conference with 19.8 points per game overall through eight games. That's also the same scoring average in four CCAA contests.
Sonoma State was led by Marie Sweet, who had a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds to help the Seawolves snapp a three-game skid. SSU improved to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in the CCAA.
The Warriors could not recovered from a poor first-half shooting as they were just 7 for 24 and trailed 31-21 at the break. They trailed by as many as 22 in the second half and were out-rebounded 51-33.
While no other Warrior was in double-figures in scoring,
Lauren Godde chipped in eight points and
Jameiz Terrell had seven. Godde also grabbed 12 rebounds.
Cal State Stanislaus travels further north to take on Humboldt State, winner over Chico State, 72-62, Monday night at Lumberjack Arena in Arcata.
