ROHNERT PARK -- All good things must come to an end as the Cal State Stanislaus volleyball team's unbeaten streak to start the season was snapped on Saturday at Sonoma State.
The Sonoma State Seawolves defeated the Warriors in three sets, 25-16, 25-11, 25-13. It was Cal State Stanislaus's first loss of the season after starting the year 4-0 after Friday's tough road-trip victory at Humboldt State.
The Warriors are now 4-1 overall and 1-1 in California Collegiate Athletic Association play. Sonoma State improves to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the CCAA.
Jennifer Marsh led the Warriors with six kills on a night where leader
Lianne Vicchio had just five kills.
Melissa Bishop chipped in four kills with four blocks.
Madison Moss led the team with 12 digs.
Keala Peterson had 14 kills to lead Sonoma State.
Cal State Stanislaus is back in action next Tuesday as part of a three-match week at home when Notre Dame de Namur comes to town. The Warriors then host Cal Poly Pomona and San Francisco State next weekend at Fitzpatrick Arena.
