TURLOCK — Lianne Vicchio added 17 more kills to her totals as the senior captain led the Cal State Stanislaus offense to an explosive night as the Warriors swept Notre Dame de Namur in straight sets.

In the non-conference match at Fitzpatrick Arena, Vicchio had her fifth double-digit kill match -- this time with 17 kills on 29 tries with just three errors for a strong .483 attacking percentage. Cal State Stanislaus improved to 5-1 overall this season before continuing its California Collegiate Athletic Association schedule. The Warriors, 1-1 in CCAA play, host Cal Poly Pomona Friday and San Francisco State Saturday.

Tuesday night, the offense -- directed by setter Jessica Lehner, who had 37 assists -- was clicking early as the Warriors easily took down the Argonauts (0-10) in the first two sets.

Vicchio put away 12 kills on her first 15 attempts (an .800 percentage) to help Stanislaus jump out early to set the tone. Vicchio also had six digs. The senior from Fair Oaks is closing in on the CSUS career record of 1,401 kills (Sarah Barnett, 1999-2002). Vicchio is currently at 1,112.
