Box Score TURLOCK — Sonoma State's efficient offense was too much for the Cal State Stanislaus volleyball team as the 20th ranked Seawolves won in straight sets Saturday night.
Allyson Sather had 15 kills and Madelyn Densberger added 10 more to lead Sonoma State as the Seawolves extended their win-streak over the Warriors with the 25-13, 25-18, 25-17 match. Sonoma State, which improved to 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association, now has won 10 straight against Cal State Stanislaus in the series.
The Warriors, with some mini-runs to stay in each set early, eventually fell for the third consecutive match 3-0 and dropped to 4-8 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
As a group Sonoma State's attacking percentage was a high .380 with Sather at .429 and Densberger at .368. Nicole Gragnola picked up16 digs to lead defensively.
Andrea Fett was the bright spot for Stanislaus with her 10th double-digit kill match with 11. She also had her season-best attacking percentage, hitting at a .310 clip (29 attempts, two errors). Fett also added three block-assists and four digs.
Janay Bankston chipped in eight kills and
Ashley Pittman had 10 digs for the Warriors.
Jordan Harris also had three assisted blocks.
Cal State Stanislaus now begins a stretch of five road matches beginning next weekend against two ranked teams at Cal State San Bernardino and UC San Diego.
