Box Score SAN BERNARDINO — Against the powerhouse program and the mighty Coyotes of Cal State San Bernardino, the Warriors put up yet another great fight before falling in four sets.
The Warriors hung-in in the first set, battled in the second and won the third before dropping the 25-19, 25-17, 18-25, 25-17 decision. Cal State Stanislaus, which continues its grueling schedule on Saturday at UC San Diego, falls for the fourth straight time. The Warriors are now 4-9 overall and 1-4 in the CCAA.
Eva Chafeh and
Andrea Fett led the way with 13 and 12 kills, respectively.
Crystal Tillett and
Jaclyn Pinasco each had 13 kills and
Kendal Munoz recorded 32 assists. Cal State Stanislaus out-dug San Bernardino, 69-65.
Danielle Newcome had 13 kills and 15 digs to lead Cal State San Bernardino, which improved to 7-6 overall, 4-1 in the CCAA. CSUSB extends its win-streak over Stanislaus to 23 dating back to 2000.
The Warriors battled to a 17-17 tie in the first set four CSUSB scored the final four points from 21-19 for the win. Stanislaus led by as many as eight, at 20-12, on a Fett kills before rolling to the third set win.
