Box Score TURLOCK — Looking for another upset bid over Cal State L.A., the Cal State Stanislaus volleyball team wasn't able to put together enough runs as the Warriors fell in four sets, 24-26, 25-12, 25-19, 25-21, Thursday night.

After how they started in the first set, it appeared the Warriors were poised to again take down the Golden Eagles, but behind 16  kills from Iona Lofrano, Cal State L.A. rebounded to win three straight to improve to 10-6 overall and 5-3 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

Blair Ehrlich had 13 kills, on 54 swings, to lead Stanislaus (4-12, 1-7 CCAA) but the Warriors lost their fifth straight.

Back on Nov. 1, 2008, the Warriors pulled off one of the biggest upsets over a ranked team in program history when they beat No. 13 Cal State L.A.

However, the Golden Eagles extend their series streak to nine wins since that November day.

Stanislaus jumped out to a 26-24 win in the first behind six kills by Christianna Knutson and five from Ehrlich. Knutson would end up with nine kills on the night.

But with command, Cal State L.A. easily won the second set to turned the momentum its way and rolled to the four-set win.

Hannah Green had 32 assists and a career-best five kills to pace the Warriors. Libero Sarah Crowl had 24 digs.

Cal State L.A. dominated the net with 17 total blocks, five from Loreal Carter. The Golden Eagles also had 12 kills from Kymberly Silveyra and 11 each from JamieAnn Bego and Bethanee Boggs.

The Warriors will try to snap the five-match skid when they host Cal State Dominguez Hills (8-7, 1-6 CCAA) Friday night at 7 p.m.
