Box Score LOS ANGELES — The Warriors lost on a Sunday for the first time in four weeks as Cal State L.A. edged Cal State Stanislaus, 1-0, in men's soccer.
Tobias Tobrant's goal in the 17th minute was the only score of the day as Cal State L.A. improved its record to 9-1-2 overall and 7-1-2 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. L.A. is in second place in the CCAA South, one point behind Chico State. Four teams in the South have 20 or more points.
The Warriors fell to 4-7-1, 3-7-0 CCAA as it lost back-to-back conference matches for the first time over a weekend since week 1. Cal State Stanislaus had won three straight Sunday matches by out-scoring teams 8-5 but that streak came to an end.

Clint Long was impressive on the day with nine solid saves. The Warriors faced 19 shots with 10 on goal and Long only allowed one shot to find the back of the net.
Tobrant dribbled the ball around Long inside the box and shot to right-center for the match's lone goal.
That score held up but the Warriors did have their chances but LA's goalie Mike Beigarten earned seven saves.
