Box Score TURLOCK -- The visiting UC San Diego Tritons continue their roll in the CCAA as they defeated Cal State Stanislaus, 2-0, Friday afternoon at Warrior Stadium.
The 10th ranked Tritons picked up their fourth straight shutout and the fifth consecutive win to improve to 7-1-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association. UC San Diego has not allowed a score since Sept. 15 in a 1-0 loss to Cal State L.A.
The Warriors, coming off a win last Sunday against Cal State Monterey Bay, dropped to 3-5-1 overall and 2-5-0 CCAA. Friday's loss was Stanislaus' first to UC San Diego at Warrior Stadium in four games dating back to 2008.
Unfortunately for the Warrior men, it marked the fourth consecutive Friday they were shut out.
UC San Diego scored in the 23rd minute on a nice pass play from Brandon Bauman who centered it to Cory Wolfrom in point-blank range to go up 1-0.
The Tritons tagged on a second goal in the 51st minute on a Andisheh Bagheri goal.
UC San Diego won the low-shot tally match 11-5 and CSUS goalkeeper
Clint Long had three saves.
The Warriors will host Cal Poly Pomona at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday. Stanislaus has won back-to-back Sunday matches and scored six goals.
